School nurses and clinic assistants not only take care of skinned knees and stomach aches, but they also are responsible for....

growth assessment for all students pre-K through 5th grades.
hearing and vision screenings for all PPCD, Kinder, 1st, 3rd, 5th, new students, and others as requested.
dental screening for 3rd grade.
maturation information for 4th and 5th grade.
HIV information for 5th grade.
coordination and dispensing of medications for students daily and as needed.
classes in hand washing, dental health, and as requested by classroom teachers.
care for a variety of daily illnesses, procedures, and accidents (including school staff).
