This project will construct a new multi-story elementary school under steep terrain conditions at a District-owned site along Stone Oak Parkway one mile west of U.S. Highway 281. The school will consist of 56 classrooms, including a computer lab, music rooms, and special education rooms capable of supporting a capacity of 1,000 students. Core facilities (library, cafeteria, two gyms) will be sized for a maximum capacity of 1,200 students as the site can support portable buildings during enrollment growth periods.

Core facilities (library, cafeteria, two gyms) will be sized for a maximum capacity of 1,200 students as the site can support portable buildings during enrollment growth periods.

The school will consist of 56 classrooms, including a computer lab, music rooms, and special education rooms capable of supporting a capacity of 1,000 students. Core facilities (library, cafeteria, two gyms) will be sized for a maximum capacity of 1,200 students as the site can support portable buildings during enrollment growth periods

The school will consist of 56 classrooms, including a computer lab, music rooms, and special education rooms capable of supporting a capacity of 1,000 students. Core facilities (library, cafeteria, two gyms) will be sized for a maximum capacity of 1,200 students as the site can support portable buildings during enrollment growth periods.

This project will construct a new multistory middle school at a District-owned site south of Loop 1604 at the intersection of Knoll Creek road extension and Judson Road near Madison High School. The school will consist of 66 classrooms including computer and science labs, art and music rooms, and special education rooms capable of supporting a capacity of 1,250 students. Core facilities (library, cafeteria, two gyms) will be sized for a maximum capacity of 1,500 students as the sites can support portable buildings during enrollment growth periods.

This project will construct a new multistory middle school at a District-owned site north of Loop 1604 near the intersection of Hardy Oak and Wilderness Oak. The school will consist of 66 classrooms including computer and science labs, art and music rooms, and special education rooms capable of supporting a capacity of 1,250 students. Core facilities (library, cafeteria, two gyms) will be sized for a maximum capacity of 1,500 students as the sites can support portable buildings during enrollment growth periods.

Total for Proposed Improvements: $71,200,000 (Land acquisition costs previously funded)

This project will construct a new multistory high school at a District-owned site north of Loop 1604 near the intersection of Bulverde Road and the future extension of Stone Oak Parkway. The school will consist of 130 classrooms, including special education rooms, science and computer labs, music and art rooms, career and technology labs and other program areas, capable of supporting a capacity of 2,500 students. Core facilities (library, cafeteria, two gyms) are sized for a maximum capacity of 3,000 students.

Total for Proposed Purchases: $2.73 million

Because the District anticipates the need for future elementary schools and a middle school beyond those proposed in this bond program, the Facilities Committee also recommended that funds be included in a potential bond issue to permit the District to purchase land for two additional elementary schools (North of Loop 1604) and one middle school (Woodcrest Area) as sites become available.
