BASEBALL BIDISTRICT RESULTS

The opening weekend of the baseball playoffs resulted in all four North East schools winning their bidistrict series. Johnson was the district champion and opened with Seguin from district 25-5A. On Friday night the Jaguars scored four runs in the seventh inning for a one run victory. They closed out the series with a dominating performance in the second game.

Our number two team was Madison and they opened with Judson. The Mavericks split the first two games of the series. In the third game Madison scored eight runs in the first inning to take a commanding lead and move on in the playoffs.

Our third place team was Reagan. The Rattlers shut out San Marcos in the opening game at Blossom Athletic Center. They went to San Marcos on Saturday and won the first game for their bidistrict victory.

Our fourth place team was Churchill and they played the district champion New Braunfels Unicorns of district 25-5A. After a dominating first game in New Braunfels, the Chargers were locked in a battle in the second game. They closed out their series with a one run victory.

With STAAR testing taking place in all high schools it will be necessary for the next two weeks of playoff games to be played on Friday and Saturday. This week's area round is shown below for your information.
