On
Tuesday May 10, 2005, ACE principal Dr. Mary Jo McLaughlin was
named a regional finalist for the H-E-B
Excellence in Education Award for principals. ACE
staff and students worked hard to coordinate this surprise event.
H-E-B's
Excellence in Education Awards are designed to honor
outstanding public school professionals and to thank them for
their dedication and commitment.
To help us
celebrate, members of the ACE staff, students, AACC members,
Community Education Staff members, and Central Office staff
attended. In addition, HEB officials and other members of
the community were in attendance. The event included the
presentation of the award by H-E-B officials, followed by a
delicious luncheon.
Dr.
McLaughlin will go on to participate in the
2005 H-E-B
Excellence in Education Awards Celebration in Houston on
June 16, 2005.
