Roaring 20's photo

Regency Place Elementary School staff and students honored long-time volunteer, George Lockhart, on his 90th birthday with a special program in the gym on May 20. The 1920's radio show styled production by staff and students included interviews with many famous folks of the era including Coco Chanel, Betty Boop, Babe Ruth, Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, Woodrow Wilson, Charlie Chaplin, Louis Armstrong, and others.

Students and staff dressed in the fashions of the 1920's. Each class then presented a book to be donated to the Regency Place Library in honor of the dedicated volunteer. Lockhart, a WWII Veteran, has volunteered at Regency place for the past 13 years. For the last 11 years, he has volunteered in the library 4 hours a day, 5 days a week.
