Regency Place community enjoys literacy night

Regency Place Elementary School families marched into a good book for their annual literacy night on March 20. Kinder through fifth grade teachers modeled reading strategies for parents to practice at home. They also prepared fabulous literacy activities that parents worked on so diligently in the classroom with their child.

Every family had an opportunity to take home literacy resources as well as a free book. This wonderful event came to a close with a delightful picnic type dinner which went along with the theme. Their annual family literacy night was indeed a tremendous success with over 400 people in attendance. A special thanks goes out to the wonderful Regency Place Elementary staff for making this event a huge success, and for the gracious donation given by their sister school, Steubing Ranch Elementary, to help offset the cost of the dinner. It was a magnific"ANT" night!
