Reagan baseball heading to state

Reagan High School

The Reagan High School baseball team has qualified for the UIL state baseball tournament after defeating Eagle Pass last Friday in Laredo in a one-game playoff for the Region IV-5A championship. The Rattlers have enjoyed great seasons in the program’s history, but this will mark its first time reaching state.

Reagan (33-6) will battle against Region II champion Humble Atascocita (31-8-1), at 3 p.m. Friday in the Class 5A semifinals at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. The winner will play Pearland (37-5) of Region III or Flower Mound (32-12-1) of Region I. With those teams meeting on Friday, the Class 5A championship is scheduled for Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

Good luck to Reagan coach, Chans Chapman, and the Rattlers baseball team as they aim to make history for the program. The entire campus and surrounding community will be cheering them on every step of the way.
