To her surprise, Gifted-Talented Hidden Forest teacher Lynne Balbert received the H-E-B Excellence in Education Award. H-E-Buddy and store representatives dropped by her classroom this morning to present Balbert with cake, flowers, balloons and $1,000 for herself, as well as $1,000 for the school.
