Jackson Middle School and Garner Middle School competed for bragging rights in their own "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," Mar. 11 - 13 (Jackson Library, 4538 Vance Jackson). To promote interest and success in mathematics, the students competed in teams against each other. To score points, students solved math problems and justified their solutions. Just as in the actual game, students were given lifelines as they worked toward earning a "million dollars." Garner ended up winning this challenge, earning challenge t-shirts.
