Electrical students win big at Skills competition


Recently, the Electrical Systems Technology Apprenticeship program competed in the annual Skills USA State competition in Corpus Christi. The students did very well in the different competitions and enjoyed their time at the beach too! 

Below are the winners of the Residential Wiring Projects, Motor Control Wiring Projects and Skills Motor Control wiring competition.

  • Vincente Huerta took second place in the Electrical Motor Controls, Skills competition
  • Jorge Rodriguez and Allen Junco took First Place and Best of Show with their Industrial Motor Control project.
  • Allen Junco also took third place in the National Electrical Code test
  • Miguel Martinez and Daniel Denis – First Place Motor Control project
  • Bruno Muratti – Third Place Motor Control project
  • Caleb Cowen – Second Place Motor Control project
  • Damion Cervantes and Johnathan Limon – Second Place Motor Control project
  • Melina Alvarez – Desiree Dennis - First Place Residential Wiring
  • Angel Gonzalez – Eddy Marquez - First Place Residential W
  • Brandon Andrade – German Bolanos - Second Place Residential Wiring
  • Joseph Siller - Second Place Residential Wiring
  • Nicholas Estrada - Second Place Residential Wiring
  • Zachery Villarreal - Carlos Ruelas - Third Place Residential Wiring
