What a delectable time did the attendees to the Friends of NEISD Libraries Inaugural Edible Book Fair have on April 2! There were 37 entries from students, staff, and community members. One of the highlights included a presentation by Chef Bernal from the Culinary Institute of America, which taught attendees how to make crepes. The wonderful intergenerational aspect of the crowd made the event more fun. Students were giddy with excitement about having retweets from authors who were tagged with the edible creations. A big shoutout to the event sponsors: Whataburger, SpiritMonkey, Young Chefs Academy of Stone Oak, H-E-B.
