A team of students from MacArthur High School is participating in the upcoming Bexar County High School Film Festival that was open for one team per high school in Bexar County. These teams were paired up with a non-profit to create a 3 minute video that captures the essence of the program and helps draw awareness to their needs. MacArthur was paired with The Low Vision Resource Center & Owl Radio to tell their story of being an ever ready presence of comfort to those that have lost or are losing their vision.
The Mac team produced a video from the first person perspective of someone that is slowly going blind. They also helped to create a new logo for the non-profit and will be assisting on a website update. The MacArthur team will be representing all 21 teams that are participating in the contest this year on San Antonio Living with Shelly Miles on April 11. MacArthur’s own Ethan Littlejohn will get to be interviewed alongside Randy Lankford, Executive Director and Founder of BCHSFF and Lisa Miele, Executive Director of The Low Vision Resource Center and Owl Radio to talk about the contest experience. On April 17, all of the teams will come together at a red carpet screening at the Santikos Mayan Plaza theatre. The doors will open for team check-in. There will be red carpet photos and mingling at 6 p.m. Screenings will start at 7 p.m. with awards to immediately follow.
