The mascots from Johnson and Reagan high schools volunteered at the Twist Out Childhood Cancer event on March 29 at University Hospital. The mascots basked in the opportunity to visit with children, dance the twist and even visited some of the kids in their rooms who were not well enough to make it to the event. The two mascots were fantastic ambassadors for North East ISD.
According to the campaign website, Mascots for a Cure is dedicated to help children and their families battling cancer. Through passion, relentless pursuit of their goals, and the power of mascots, the organization fosters hope, laughter, joy, positive memories and love to support children and their families affected world-wide.
