Krueger Middle School’s 8th grade AVID students became Longhorns for a day at this year’s UT Explore. These future college students got a real-life example of what it takes to navigate a large-scale campus while braving nearly constant rain. Despite the soggy conditions, smiles were abundant, as the group gamely attempted to attend as many of the events as possible. Students were treated to dorm-room tours, lunch at a dining hall, visitation of classroom and lecture halls, special events, and even a game of glow-bowling. Several of the Krueger faculty went along as chaperones and were also able to participate in the fun.
