NEISD parents enjoy parent academy field trip
Parent Academy members take a group photo.
Parents of students from Oak Grove, Regency and Serna Elementary School's were invited to go on a historical journey. The field trip promoting cultural awareness was part of the Parent Academy. Parents visited the Spanish Governor's Palace, San Fernando Cathedral and Market Square in beautiful downtown San Antonio.
These 18th century buildings are some of the oldest examples of Spanish Colonial Texas. Parents enjoyed a wonderful boxed lunch in the Main Plaza. The goal of Parent Academy field trips is to encourage parents to visit these sites, learn and explore - then take their own children to experience the beauty of our city.
