Las Lomas honors volunteers with Presidential Service Award

Before the end of the school year, Las Lomas Elementary School awarded 39 student volunteers the President’s Volunteer Service Award, a national honor offered in recognition of over 3,493 volunteer service hours!

As one of thousands of Certifying Organizations participating in the Award program, Las Lomas Elementary School confers the award to recognize the outstanding achievements of its volunteers.  “We are proud that our student participation, in which they demonstrated exemplary citizenship through volunteering, has more than doubled and their volunteer hours have tripled since last year”, said Kriztella Melendez, PVSA Program Chair of Las Lomas Elementary School.

Las Lomas Elementary School is proud to be aligned with this prestigious volunteer award, and we are especially proud of our student volunteers who have made volunteer service a central part of their lives.
