Bulverde Creek walks for autism

Bulverde Walks for Autism.

The Bulverde Creek Elementary School Texans are making a difference in our community, even early on a Saturday morning. More than 45 students, family members, and teachers participated in the Any Baby Can Walk for Autism on April 12 at the AT&T center.

Bulverde Creek teachers organized a running club at school in order to train for this event. There were about 40 students who stayed after school once per week to train. The great thing about this training and event is that it was open to all levels of athletes. Some of the participants chose to walk while others chose to run. The training paid off, as a handful of the Bulverde Creek running club members were among the first participants to cross the finish line on Saturday morning.

The students were excited to participate in this run to raise money and awareness for Autism since they have friends, family members, and classmates who have been diagnosed with Autism.

On behalf of the Bulverde Creek running club sponsors, campus leaders would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm, participation, and most of all, for always finding a way to give back to their community.
