Community Planning

North East ISD continues to be faced with challenges, such as an increasing student population, an uncertain state financial situation and more rigorous academic standards.

We have always relied on input from our community members over the years, and the time has come to ask for your input again. Open to the public, a community planning and advisory committee was formed and conducted a series of meetings over the past few months (summaries listed under "Related Information"). The committee explored areas of relief, such as through a future bond. Five public meetings were held help North East gather input in planning for the future needs of the district. The information culled from the meetings was presented to the North East Board of Trustees in February.

With the postponement of the May 2011 Bond Election, the Committee will continue to meet to review and refine potential projects for NEISD.

Meeting Schedule:

Future meetings and activities will be determined and announced at a later date.
