Serna students learn ballet history prior to field trip

Serna fourth graders and choir members received a visit from San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet docent, Jo Delagarza in preparation for their field trip to the performance of Cinderella on October 30. The students were intrigued by the details pertaining to the the history of the ballet, the genius composer who wrote the music and most of all, the preparation of local dancers to prepare for such an event.  They were most impressed by the pointe shoes they inspected first hand which Delagarza talked in detail about. " They are very excited about their visit to the Municipal Auditorium," said Alicia Walker, family specialist.
