Royal Ridge students take business 101 at fair
Fourth grade students at Royal Ridge Elementary School spent four weeks learning about opening a business in preparation for the 11th Annual Economics Fair held on May 30. The program is experience-based. Students were involved with record keeping, writing advertisements, manufacturing products, dealing with bank procedures, selling goods and numerous other decision-making processes which occur in operating a business.
The main portion of the profit is used to purchase items for each class and their end of the year party. Additional profits go towards future fourth grade field trips or classroom materials that benefit the students and their learning.
Students sold goods like these beautiful flower arrangements.
