The Roosevelt High School Roughrider battalion hosted its annual military ball at the Fort Sam Houston community center. The Battalion was grateful to have their honored guest, Medal of Honor recipient Major General Patrick H. Brady, speak to the crowd of over 250 attendees about his extraordinary experiences and golden words of wisdom.

The cadets of the battalion also had the opportunity to have a Q&A segment with the General after his speech. Following the Q&A, General Brady was presented with a gift by the Battalion’s proud commander. LTC Evan Pape (above) expressed his appreciation towards General Brady with a framed photo bordered with the signatures of cadets from the battalion during the highly successful Veteran’s day ceremony.

Cooper of the American Legion, the ETA (Engineering and Technologies Academy) and DATA (Design and Technology Academy) magnet program directors William Sturgis and Russell Claughton, Assistant Principal Chris Villanueva, other members of the Theodore Roosevelt faculty, and the very supportive parents of the community.

Under battalion commander cadet LTC Evan Pape’s leadership and the cooperation of the staff and command, the ball went on to have another successful year.
