Oak Grove celebrates parent involvement

Parental involvement at Oak Grove.

Oak Grove leadership presents to parents and guardians.

Oak Grove Elementary School faculty and staff were extra busy in September as they prepared for the 5th Annual Principal's Coffee and the WATCH D.O.G.s Pizza Night.

On Sept. 19 over fifty parents attended Oak Grove's 5th Annual Principal's Coffee. Mr. Massey, school principal, introduced the Leadership Team. He reviewed general school procedures and encouraged parents be an active part of the school community.

After a brief question and answer session, parents enjoyed coffee and juice. Parent Academy information was presented as well.

WATCH D.O.G. dads learn all about the program.

More than 100 dads and students attended Oak Grove's annual WATCH D.O.G. Dads & Kids Pizza night held on Sept. 24. Dads and kids enjoyed pizza as well as a fun activity. Dads were encouraged to stand up and sign the calendar to volunteer at their child's school for a day. This national program promotes safety and positive male role models on our campuses. The campus is looking forward to having the dads positively impact its students.
