Middle school online newspaper program continues to expand

Wood Middle School will launch "The Maximum," the campus online newspaper Friday, Oct. 28, making the publication the latest to join the district program. Cynthea Russo, the program’s sponsor currently has a staff of students that are excited to provide the school and community with the latest news and stories related to the campus and students' interests.

The Middle School Online Program was piloted last year at Krueger Middle School with the site "Krueger Middle School News." Earlier this year Driscoll launched "The Driscoll Declaration" and was followed by Garner's launching of "The Garner Gazette." All participating campuses seem to enjoy and appreciate the newly created news source for their community.
