Wilshire adopted by Ft. Sam Houston Brigade & Team

Wilshire Elementary School, the 106th Signal Brigade and the 502nd Mission Support Team from Ft. Sam Houston held a signing ceremony in the school's cafeteria on Friday, Sept. 16. These units adopted Wilshire and have been working with the school on a variety of projects. They held school supply drives, participated in Career Day last spring, judged the science fair last May, and served as volunteers and mentors to Wilshire students.

They will continue the partnership with Wilshire for this school year. A sign given by these units was unveiled after the assembly, making the partnership known to the entire Wilshire community.

"We appreciate the differences these folks are making in our school," said Cindi Jacob, principal. "They are a wonderful group of individuals who are now part of our Wilshire family."
