White presents Boys 2 Men Girls 2 Ladies, empowerment seminars

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at 9:15 am, White Middle School will kick off a new mentoring program: Boys 2 Men Girls 2 Ladies. Community leaders from a variety of backgrounds, such as military, attorneys, former professional athletes and non-profit organizations, answered the call to serve as adult male and female mentors for the students. The Boys 2 Men empowerment seminar will be held in the cafeteria while the Girls 2 Ladies seminar will be in the girls gym.

Individuals or organizations interested in signing up to mentor to a 6th, 7th or 8th grade student should contact Family Specialist Leonardo Leos at lleos@neisd.net to complete a volunteer application.
