Vineyard ranch delivers love note pillows to hospitals
Vineyard Ranch Elementary School has delivered on a promise to brighten the day of some children staying in San Antonio hospitals.
Third graders from Vineyard Ranch Elementary School and their teachers Jenny Ball and Brea Rodriguez came up with the idea to make 160 love note pillows to donate to children in local hospitals. Click here to learn more.
Their project was selected as part of the Spurs Team Up Challenge. They received a $2,500 grant to get the project started.
On Monday, February 3, a few of the students helped deliver the finished product to Methodist Children's Hospital and The Children's Hospital of San Antonio. In each pillow is a handwritten note to a child with a poem and picture of the student that made the pillow.
Five Team Up Challenge participants will earn an additional $20,000 to continue their project.
