TIME: 1:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Thousand Oaks ES,

Thousand Oaks Elementary School participated in the APEX Fun Run on Thursday, Sept. 20. Students ran for 30 minutes, accruing laps around the school. The Apex Fun Run (previously AllStar Fun Run) lasted for two weeks. It helps schools all over the country raise money, while promoting leadership and fitness in the classes. The event was kicked off on Sept. 11 with a pep rally, motivating students to then find pledges for the laps they would run on Sept. 20.
With this year’s Apex Super Heroes theme, students learned about the character traits that make a true Super Hero: Selfless, Uplifting, Patient, Extra Mile, Reliable.
