Tejeda green club plants new garden

Tejeda Middle School’s GREEN club was awarded four raised garden beds and an assortment of seeds through the online charity, is an online charity that allows anyone to make donations to school projects in America. Donors can give as little as $1 to support the project of their choice, and the donations are tax-deductible.

Two donors, Michelle Robinson and SONIC Drive-In, provided $545 to fund the project for Tejeda.

The members of GREEN club assembled two of the garden beds and planted various vegetables and herbs.

Through this project, the students can study photosynthesis and tropism first hand. GREEN club looks forward to the plants that they will grow and are hoping to be able to provide fruits, vegetables, and herbs for the cafeteria to use!
