Both Tejeda and Lopez middle schools have been selected as 2013 Texas Schools to Watch. They will be “showcased” at the Texas Middle School Association Annual Conference & Exhibit at the Arlington Convention Center in Arlington, Texas, February 28 - March 2, 2013. School staff from each campus will be recognized at the general session on Friday March 1. In addition, representatives from the schools have been invited to present at this conference.
In June, Tejeda and Lopez will be honored at the annual National Schools to Watch Conference in Washington, D.C.
As Texas Schools to Watch, Tejeda and Lopez joins a network of more than 100 schools throughout the United States that have achieved this elite status. Both Bush and Bradley middle schools achieved this title in 2011.
