Superintendent hosts luncheon for middle school students

Dr. Brian G. Gottardy, Superintendent of Schools, hosted 13 students representing each of the NEISD middle schools for lunch Friday, April 12.

Principals selected a student to attend the luncheon and talk about their school. Dr. Gottardy asked students to share what is working at the campuses and what can be improved. He also answered their questions and concerns.

The students discussed a wide range of issues from their nervousness about attending high school to bullying. The students gave great feedback on how the district can address a variety of issues.

Dr. Gottardy will have a similar lunch with elementary students on April 19.
