High school campuses host summa cum laude receptions

Over the past two months, each high school in North East ISD has held a special reception for its academic all stars, their families and mentors.

Summa Cum Laude receptions honor students who graduate high school with 100+ grade averages. Each high school administration invites its Summas and their mentors to be honored along with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian G. Gottardy, district executive staff and members of the Board of Trustees.

Each campus puts their own personal touch on the occasion with music, refreshments, programs and decorative touches. They also have fellow students assist in the event, including JROTC cadets to post the colors, ushers and greeters.
