STEM teacher invited onto radio talk show
Robin Howard, Biomedical Science Program teacher for the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Academy at Lee High School, participated in a radio talk show on Saturday, January 19 on KLUP 930AM. The broadcast showcased the value of the Biomedical Science Program for students. Howard shared success stories and challenges that both the students and program face in the future. He also promoted the Voelcker Academy at the UTHSCSA.
Howard was also invited back in February to spend an entire hour talking more about the Biomedical Science Program with a special guest who will be announced at a later date.
Saturday's show also included a discussion about the connections that have been made with local industry, as well as the hope for continuing connections in the future.
Ann Stevens, the president of BioMedSA also participated in the show.
