Roosevelt band parents kick-off the new year with potluck
On Tuesday, August 21, the Roosevelt High School Rough Rider Marching Band parents assembled in the Roosevelt cafeteria for a "back to school" kickoff and volunteer round-up. Parents purchased football tickets and spirit items, signed up for various volunteer opportunities, joined the PTSA, met the individual band members, and completed the online criminal check required to be a volunteer. There were about 750 people in attendance.
"The event was a huge success as vacant volunteer slots were filled and fellowship was enjoyed by community and staff members," said Lori Murach, assistant principal.
