Helping others in need, Roan Forest food drive

From Nov. 2 - 13, Roan Forest Elementary School will hold its annual food drive. Donations will be collected in the rotunda of the school. Food items needed include: peanut butter, chili, canned stew, canned soups, canned luncheon meats, full meals in a can/box, tuna, beans and rice, macaroni and cheese and 'pop top' food items.

"The food drive is an exceptional opportunity for helping others, and goes hand-in-hand with our school's virtues," said Sarah True, Roan Forest counselor. "November's virtues are caring and giving, and these virtues help us remember that there are others who may not be as fortunate as we are right now and that we should care for all people in need."
