Reagan students experience first-hand science at SAWS

On March 26, 2013 students from Reagan High School's Advanced Placement (AP) Environmental Science classes visited SAWS' Dos Rios Water Recycling Center and Water Testing Lab.

In the lab the students met with chemists whose job it is to monitor San Antonio's drinking water for FOG's, microbes, and metals. They got to see exactly where the chemists work, the equipment they use, and how the chemists go about their daily tasks.

The students experienced first-hand how what they have learned in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science plays out in a commercial lab environment.
