Reagan students evaluate geography of election
Reagan High School Geography Pre-AP teachers Mrs. DeGrove, Mrs. Marquis and Mrs. Evan class worked with their classes to research the recent Presidential election using demographics, physical geography, and the history of elections to predict a winner.
Each student, in every class, had a state to research. Students looked at economic activities, physical geography, past voting behavior, current leaders of the state, population statistics, employment rate, ethnicity, age groups, and campaign issues relevant to that state. They then prepared a poster to show their research.
Presentations of results were made on Wednesday November 7 as students participated in a gallery walk to learn about all the states. They also determined whether or not their state voted as they predicted.
