Reagan students to perform at Carnegie Hall
How do you make it to Carnegie Hall? Practice, Practice, Practice!
Three students at Reagan High School have practiced enough to realize a dream of performing at Carnegie Hall this weekend. Alexandra Gilpin, New New Cheng and Ashley Tran, winners of the Fryderyk Chopin Society of Texas' Piano Competition, will travel to New York to perform in winner's concerts on December 21 and 22. All three students are current or former members of the Reagan High School Orchestra directed by Sixto Elizondo IV.
Bush Middle School student and Orchestra member Singer Cheng will also have this incredible opportunity. The four study piano at the Musical Arts Centers of San Antonio, Inc. where their teachers are Kenneth Thompson, AJ Collins-Thompson and Omar Granados.
