Students recognized at the February board meeting

INVOCATION AND PLEDGE

On Monday, February 10, the North East ISD Board of Trustees met during its regular monthly meeting and recognized two outstanding students. Lopez Middle School students Evan Villastrigo and Kylie Politis led the meeting with the invocation and pledge to the American Flag and the Texas Flag.

Evan participates in the Lopez PALS Program, excelling at football and basketball. The student is sharpening his leadership skills as a member of the Lopez Student Involvement Committee. He is involved in his church youth group and is a cadet at the Texas Brigades Wildlife Camp. Evan was accompanied by his mother, Casey Adams, step-father, Rob Adams, father, Daniel Villastrigo, step-mother, Jennifer Villastrigo, along with his siblings, grandparents and aunt.

Kylie is a member of the Lopez PALS Program and is enjoying being apart of the National Junior Honor Society. During the week, aside from her studies, Kylie spends many hours practicing her true passion - dance. Kylie was accompanied by her mother, Cheryl Politis, father, Jim Politis along with her siblings.
