District holds 2010 Board of Trustee elections

On May 8, 2010, North East ISD is holding its Board of Trustee elections for Single Member Districts 2, 3 and 7. Candidates who are elected will serve a four-year term ending in May 2014.

Individuals wishing to run for a trustee position must file an "Application for a Place on the Ballot." The filing period for the trustee election begins Feb. 6, 2010 and closes March 8, 2010 at 5 p.m. During the filing period, candidates must file their application at the North East Education Center, 8961 Tesoro Drive, 6th floor, San Antonio, Texas, or fax it to 210-804-7093. In order to run for a particular Single Member District, candidates must live in that district. Maps of these districts are located at www.neisd.com/regs/smd.html. • First day of early voting..............April 26, 2010
• Last day of early voting..............May 4, 2010
