Parent Portal Login Changes, site enhancements
NEISD Technology Services worked diligently over the summer to make enhancements to the Parent Portal system--particularly for student and teacher access. Students are now able to make their own account in the portal in order to access their grades and more effectively monitor their progress.
Student access to the portal is not new; however, the ability for students to directly create their account is new. Parents previously would need to set up an account through their own account and teachers would need to use their email address to enter the portal. Now, every student and teacher can log in simply with their district ID.
Users visiting the portal will now select their role (parent, student, teacher) before logging in the site. As always, student logins do not provide full accessibility in the portal. Student accounts only include grades, attendance and library information.
