Windcrest Optimists honor students
The Windcrest Optimist Club held its May Student Recognition Program on May 8, and the following NEISD students were presented plaques by Club President Andy Biancardi:
- East Terrell Hills Elementary - Jesus Berlanga
- Montgomery Elementary - Maelani Flores
- Walzem Elementary - Guadalupe Gomez
- Windcrest Elementary - Ceasar Garza
- Krueger Middle School - Cesar Medrano
- White Middle School - Cydni J. Lawhon
- Roosevelt High School - Karen DeLeon and Elaine Gonzales
The April Student Recognition Program was held on April 10. The following students were recognized:
- East Terrell Hills Elementary - Akira Robinson
- Montgomery Elementary - April Sauceda
- Walzem Elementary - Vanessa Winter Gay
- Windcrest Elementary - Krystal Stigger
- Krueger Middle School - Elena DeLeon Ortiz
- White Middle School - Cesar DeLeon.
Students were selected for this award based on their conduct, citizenship, scholastic success, and optimistic attitude. Optimist congratulations go to these future leaders of our community.
