NEISD campuses earn Gold Performance

Eleven campuses earned 2011 Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency. The following is a list of indicators this system acknowledges for high performance, as well as the number of campuses achieving the indicator:

  • Commended Performance: Mathematics (20)

  • Commended Performance: Science (34)
  • Commended Performance: Social Studies (19)
  • Comparable Improvement: Reading (18)
  • Comparable Improvement: Mathematics (17)
  • Recommended High School Program/Distinguished Achievement Program (4)
  • SAT/ACT Results (College Admissions Tests) (1)
  • Texas Success Initiative – Higher Education Readiness Component: English Language Arts (4)

For 2011, NEISD campuses received a total of 189 acknowledgments, an increase of 25 acknowledgments from 2010.

  • Middle Schools (out of 8 possible acknowledgments): Lopez (6)
  • Elementary Schools (out of 7 possible acknowledgments): Hardy Oak (6), Roan Forest (6), Woodstone (5), Encino Park (5), Wetmore (5), Bulverde Creek (5), and Wilderness Oak (5)
