NEISD students named finalists in Texas Cavaliers Art Contest

Two NEISD elementary students were named finalists in the Texas Cavaliers River Parade Art Contest.

JeanieYu, a fifth grade student from Tuscany Heights Elementary School, and Rosie Ganske, a 4th grade student from Stone Oak Elementary, were among the top ten finalists for the contest.

These two students were selected from 3,300 entries from 50 different elementary schools. The Texas Cavaliers invited students from grades 1-5 to enter.

This year's theme is "Stars on the River". Rosie and Jeanie each received a one-week scholarship for Summer Camp Art at Southwest School of Art. Tuscany Heights and Stone Oak elementary schools also received $1,000 to be used for school art supplies.
