This is a partnership between the City of San Antonio and NEISD to develop public school ground into neighborhood parks. Many of the neighborhood associations were there to support the project. The SPARK Park will have a playground, outdoor classrooms, sports fields, walking trails, covered pavilion and art features.

The University of Texas at San Antonio School of Architecture developed the conceptual design with help from the community, San Antonio City Council District 8, and Camelot students.

The SPARK Park program started in Houston in 1983. Camelot is the first school in NEISD to start construction of a SPARK Park.
