NEISD marching bands take the field for fall festival
It was the ultimate half-time show without the football. Heroes Stadium was filled with NEISD's seven high school marching bands as they performed their shows at the NEISD Band Fall Festival. Students danced, marched, and played on the field for fans in the stands.
This was a huge event that involved between 1,400-1,500 students from marching band, color guard, choir, and JROTC. Band members were excited to show off their hard work and to see what the other schools were doing. Parents, students, staff and community members were invited to watch the showcase.
Thel marching festival gives the district's marching bands an opportunity to perform their contest program in a dress rehearsal before the competition season begins. Each band's performance was evaluated by nationally renowned adjudicators. Oral and written critiques are provided to each band along with a video of the performance. NEISD has hosted this event since the late 1970s.
The Reagan High School choir sang the National Anthem before the event.
