Montgomery makes school history

On January 23, 2010, Montgomery Elementary welcomed hundreds of students, parents, faculty and the community to celebrate the school's Exemplary Accountability Rating set by the Texas Education Agency. Montgomery made school history by earning its first Exemplary rating, which is achieved by having a TAKS passing rate of 90 or higher for all students and in each subject area.

Rackspace® Hosting sponsored the block party celebration to reward the Montgomery students and staff for their hard work in achieving this top honor. Everyone celebrated together and enjoyed face painting, food/drink booths, a gaming truck including Wii and Xbox, and other children’s activities.

Rackspace and NEISD developed a partnership in 2009 to improve the community through motivated students, engaged parents, socially responsible partners and an involved community. This event was a symbol of Rackspace’s continued support of NEISD.
