Madison wins at stock show & rodeo

Four Madison High School FFA students competed at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Science Fair Competition Saturday, Feb. 16.

Participants included: Valerie Gamao (12th), Junelyn Gamao (11th), Layne Garza (11th) and Katherine Howell (10th).  They are part of the North East Agriscience Magnet Program (AMP).

The students were very successful.  The Gamao sisters are not strangers to science fair success, as both students have already competed at the national level through the FFA.  They were both named the Reserve Champion of their respective divisions.

Madison's biggest winner was Layne Garza.  Layne was the Champion of the Engineering Division, and the recipient of a $10,000 SALE Scholarship.

Congratulations to all of these students.
