madison volleyball team wins tournament

The Madison High School Maverick volleyball team won the San Antonio ISD tournament on Friday and Saturday, August 26-27, 2011.

The Mavericks won their pool on Friday, defeating SA Jefferson and Lockhart. They also won their second round pool on Saturday, defeating East Central and Harlandale. This earned the Mavericks a spot in the championship match versus Wagner. Madison defeated Wagner in three games.

Students Tanesha Johnson and Erica Skipper were named to the all-tournament team.
