MacArthur in the giving spirit
Tis' the season for giving, and MacArthur High School students were definitely in the holiday spirit.
The MacArthur National Honor Society (NHS) hosted a program to donate to the SA Food bank. Organizations and classroom teachers collected the canned goods, and representatives from the Food Bank picked up the donation from the school.
The Student Council and NHS also announced a clothing drive to benefit the San Antonio Women's Shelter in early December. The students at MacArthur rose to the occasion and brought in bags of clothing for women and young children.
Students didn't forget their furry friends at this time of year either. The Animal Defense League welcomed food and blanket donations, which were collected from the MacArthur student body.
