macarthur art featured at institute of texan cultures

MacArthur High School art students and members of the campus Skate Club created an exhibit at the Institute of Texan Cultures titled "Ramp It Up" and features skate deck artwork.
Students are using visual arts to portray the rich skateboard culture history in Texas. Students created 15 works of art on blank skateboards depicting different aspects of skate history in our state. MacArthur Skate Club members created 15 photographic and text panels showing what modern skating means to them. The exhibit also includes a seven minute video about skating in Texas cities.
The exhibit opening takes place on November 1 from 6-8 p.m. These amazing works will be on exhibit at the Institute of Texan Cultures from November 2 through January 5. There will be Family Fun Day on November 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
